Family owned and operated early learning centres since 2003

Sam and Angela, owners of Keiki Early Learning

In 2003, sisters Sam and Angela opened their first early learning service in Mindarie with a vision of providing a child care centre that focused on quality education in a secure, home away from home environment.

Both Sam and Angela have a genuine love for children and their development. Angela has a strong background in teaching. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, a Degree in Social Science (Children and Family Studies) and was also a State Registered Nurse. She has three grown up children. Sam has a Diploma in Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care), a background in business and is the mother of two children.

When looking for care for Sam’s two children the sisters realised that other early learning centres did not meet their expectations. They decided to open a child care centre in Mindarie Keys that could provide high standards of learning within a loving environment. Since then, they have become part of the community, well respected and highly recommended by past and present families.

In 2008 they opened an Outside School Hours and Three Plus Kindy based at Mindarie Primary School to support children transitioning onto school. Partnering with Mindarie Primary School provides further opportunities to prepare children for the next step of their educational journey. Children are confident and well equipped for the new challenges of Kindy and Pre-Primary.

In 2016 an additional Early Learning School was opened in Hamersley with a passionate focused team. The first of its kind in the area, the centre focuses on providing children with a nature based, holistic environment and learning program.

A new state of the art centre in Trinity, Alkimos was opened by Sam in 2018. Featuring best practice design with the natural environment in mind, the service incorporates intentional learning opportunities within all of its indoor and outdoor spaces.

In the same year, after over 15 years in business, it was decided the four services needed a new name that would unify them as one. Previously named individually as Mindarie Keys Early Learning School, Mindarie Keys Three Plus School Readiness and Outside of School Hours Care, Hamersley Early Learning School and Trinity Early Learning School, all services were renamed as Keiki Early Learning.

Late 2019 saw the opening of Keiki Northshore, Alkimos, an Outside School Hours Care and Vacation Care program based at Northshore Christian Grammar School.

In January 2020, Sam opened two new centres in Perth’s northern suburbs. Keiki Glendale, Hamersley is a specialised bush kindy for children aged 2-5 years, set within a beautiful established bushland environment next to Glendale Primary School. Keiki Edgewater features spacious, purpose-designed learning spaces for ages 0-5 and is ideally located next to Edgewater Train Station.

Keiki’s latest OSHC service based at the brand-new Yanchep Rise Primary School opened in early 2021 to support local families. Children enjoy shared school facilities and stimulating nature-based environments in a comfortable and secure home away from home.
