Play-Based Learning for All Age Groups
Our early learning centre in Edgewater encompasses all the features of a Keiki Early Learning school. These include purpose-built natural outdoor spaces designed for play-based learning, within secure and safe surrounds. The centre features a separate nursery for younger babies, a babies room for children who have begun walking, a toddler room and pre-kindy and kindy rooms. This allows us to specifically tailor our educational curriculum and activities to different age groups, needs and developmental abilities. All rooms enjoy direct access to dedicated outdoor play areas.
Our spaces are carefully designed to encourage child-led learning and discovery through play for children of all ages, based on their individual developmental stages and interests. Keiki Edgewater also incorporates our proven Preschool program for children aged three years and over. This program helps with the development of essential skills for a smooth transition into formal schooling.
Babies
Our baby daycare caters to infants typically aged 4–18 months, ensuring a nurturing and secure environment essential for their growth. It embraces the Early Years Learning Framework, providing play-based learning tailored to each child’s unique interests, abilities and developmental needs
Toddlers
Keiki’s toddler program supports children aged from around 18 months to 3 years. We focus on developing resilience, independence and emotional regulation through enriching activities like singing, reading and physical play. Our safe and engaging environment enhances self-help skills, preparing them for future learning.
Pre-Kindy
For children aged 3–5 years, our pre-kindy promotes school readiness by developing key physical, emotional and social skills. We engage children within play-based learning environments, using activities that foster early literacy, numeracy and independence.
We follow a preschool program that cultivates foundational skills required for future education through play. The program introduces early reading and writing, in addition to maths. There is also emphasis on building emotional and social intelligence.
Our Team
The experienced team of educators at Keiki Edgewater aim to provide outstanding education and care, backed by the latest research and best practices in Early Years learning.
