At Keiki Hamersley, we aim to make morning drop-offs calm and welcoming for both children and families. On arrival, parents bring their child to their room and speak with their educators, who will support a happy and calm start to the day. Each room follows simple arrival routines, such as storing bags, placing nappies in designated baskets or unpacking drink bottles. Children are encouraged to take part in these routines, helping build independence and confidence. We encourage parents to take a moment to settle their child and share any important information.

For safety and security, the centre operates with a pin code entry system. Families receive a unique access code during enrolment, which is used each day to enter the service. You will also be required to sign your child in via our secure Xplor app each day.

To help your child have a smooth and comfortable day at Keiki Hamersley, we ask you to pack a few key items in their bag. Bringing the right essentials ensures they’re prepared for play, rest, and everything in between.

• Spare Clothing: Accidents and messy play are part of the fun. Please pack at least one full change of clothes, including underwear and socks.
• Sun Protection: A wide-brimmed hat is required daily for outdoor play. We reapply sunscreen throughout the day.
• Drink Bottle: A refillable water bottle to keep your child hydrated throughout the day.
• Nappies and Wipes: If your child is still in nappies, please provide enough for the day, along with wipes.
• Bottles and Formula/Breast Milk: For babies, please bring the required amount of formula or breast milk per day, clearly labelled.
• Bed sheets: Your child will be gifted their very own set of Keiki bed sheets when they start care with us. We ask that you bring in these sheets each day after washing them at home, so your child has bedding to sleep on that smell familiar and comforting.
• Wet bag: You will also be supplied with a Keiki wet bag when starting care with us. Please pack this wet bag each day as any dirty or soiled clothing will be placed in here.

Our Hamersley early learning centre supplies children with nutritious meals throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, with a late snack offered when required. We also include sensitive formula sunscreen, nappy cream, wipes, 1x set of cot or bed sheets provided at enrolment, and all incursions and excursions planned as part of the educational program.

At Keiki Hamersley, children enjoy a seasonal rotating menu inspired by the six Noongar seasons, using fresh, in-season ingredients to create nutritious and tasty meals. Meals are created using fresh, in-season ingredients and are prepared daily on site by our in-house chef. Each menu is carefully planned to support children’s nutritional requirements while still being full of flavour and enjoyable to eat.

Our menus are shaped by ongoing feedback from children and families, so we can make sure we’re serving meals that children genuinely enjoy, while giving them the energy and nourishment they need to thrive. Families can view the current menu at the centre at any time. For more detailed information about specific meals, we suggest speaking with the service coordinator, who will be happy to help.

After School Care is not available at the Keiki Hamersley centre. However, this service is offered at several of our other locations, including Keiki Shorehaven, Keiki Mindarie Primary, and Keiki Tapping. At Keiki Hamersley, daily fees are charged at a rate of $170.50 for a full day of care.

This amount reflects the standard rate and does not include any discounts you may be eligible for through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). Keiki Hamersley operates Monday to Friday from 7.00am – 6.00pm, excluding public holidays.

At Keiki Hamersley, we welcome children from birth to 5 years of age, offering a nurturing and stimulating early learning environment tailored to each stage of early development. Our centre is thoughtfully designed with age-appropriate indoor and outdoor learning spaces, ensuring that every child feels safe, engaged, and supported.

Each age group is supported by dedicated educators with specialised training and experience in the unique developmental needs of infants, toddlers, and preschool aged children. Our programs are thoughtfully designed to nurture emotional, social, cognitive, and physical growth through play-based learning and intentional teaching.

As children prepare for school, our preschool program provides a strong foundation for a smooth transition. We focus on developing key skills including early literacy and numeracy, along with independence, resilience and positive social skills. With continuous care from infancy through to preschool, we support each child’s journey in a consistent and holistic way, helping them thrive as they take their next big step into primary school.
