Yes. The team at Keiki Early Learning Kallaroo is made up of qualified educators who are passionate about supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing. All educators hold, or are currently working towards, a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, while many have completed a Diploma or higher qualification. Our Early Childhood Teachers hold degrees from recognised Australian universities or are working towards their Early Childhood Teaching qualification.

Every educator also holds a current Working With Children Check and completes essential training in areas including child protection, first aid, food safety and safe sleep practices. This helps ensure children are cared for in a safe, supportive and professionally guided environment.

We also prioritise ongoing professional development, giving our team opportunities to build their knowledge and stay informed about current research and approaches to early childhood education.

Availability at Keiki Early Learning Kallaroo can change depending on the age group and days of care required. Keiki Kallaroo charges a daily fee of $185.00 for a full day of care.

This is the standard daily fee before any applicable reductions through the Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS). The amount your family pays out of pocket will depend on your individual CCS eligibility and subsidy percentage.

Keiki Early Learning Kallaroo is open Monday to Friday, from 7.00am to 6.00pm, excluding public holidays.

We do our best to answer calls quickly, though there may be moments when our educators are focused on the children and unable to respond right away.

We understand that drop-off can set the tone for the whole day, so our team aims to make arrivals relaxed, welcoming and positive. When you arrive, you’ll take your child to their room and connect with their educators, who can help them settle into the day.

Each room has its own familiar arrival routine. This might include putting belongings away, placing nappies in the designated basket or adding a drink bottle to the trolley. Encouraging children to take part in these simple tasks helps build independence while giving them a sense of familiarity and belonging.

We also encourage parents to allow a few minutes at drop-off to settle their child and let educators know about anything important that may affect their day.

For additional security, Keiki Kallaroo uses a pin code entry system. Families receive their own unique code during the enrolment process, which is used to access the centre. Children are also signed in and out using the secure Xplor app, helping us maintain accurate attendance records and keep communication between families and the centre running smoothly.

A few everyday essentials will help your child feel comfortable and prepared for their day at Keiki Kallaroo. We recommend packing:

A change of clothes: Please bring at least one complete spare outfit, including underwear and socks, for messy play, spills and accidents.

A sun hat: A wide-brimmed hat is required for outdoor play. Sunscreen is reapplied throughout the day.

A drink bottle: Please provide a refillable water bottle so your child can stay hydrated.

Nappies: If your child is still in nappies, please pack enough for their day. We provide wipes for nappy changes.

We’ve designed our inclusions to make life a little easier for families. Keiki Kallaroo provides breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack where required, with meals prepared fresh to support children’s nutritional needs.

We also provide sensitive formula sunscreen, nappy cream, wipes and one set of cot or bed sheets at enrolment. Incursions are included as part of our program too, giving children opportunities to enjoy additional experiences without families needing to pay extra.

Food at Keiki Early Learning Kallaroo is prepared fresh each day by our in-house chef. Our seasonal menu takes inspiration from the six Noongar seasons, with fresh ingredients selected to reflect the time of year.

Meals are planned to provide children with the nourishment and energy they need throughout the day, while feedback from children and families helps us understand what they’re enjoying and where menus can be improved.

Families can view the current menu at the Kallaroo service. If your child has specific dietary requirements or you’d like to ask about a particular meal, our centre coordinator can provide further information.

No. Keiki Early Learning provides freshly prepared meals and snacks throughout the day, so families don’t need to send food from home.

Our centres, including Kallaroo, follow food safety and nutrition policies and take an allergy-aware approach to mealtimes. Keeping food within the centre’s meal program also helps us manage allergies and dietary risks safely.

If your child has an allergy, intolerance or other dietary requirement, please let the centre management team know during orientation. We can then work with you to provide suitable and safe food options.

Keiki Kallaroo does not currently provide After School Care for school-aged children.

Families looking for Outside School Hours Care can access this service at selected Keiki locations. These programs provide a safe and welcoming environment where school-aged children can learn, play and socialise outside of school hours.

Vacation Care is not currently offered at Keiki Kallaroo for school-aged children. However, families can access Vacation Care programs at selected Keiki locations during the school holidays.

These programs give children the opportunity to enjoy a mix of fun, educational and social activities while they’re away from school.

Keiki Early Learning Kallaroo welcomes children from birth to five years of age, with care and learning experiences designed around the different stages of early childhood.

Our purpose-built indoor and outdoor spaces give children room to play, explore and learn in an environment where they can feel comfortable and confident. Qualified educators support each age group with experiences that respond to children’s individual interests, abilities and developmental needs.

Our play-based approach supports children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development through hands-on experiences and intentional learning.

As children get closer to starting school, our preschool program focuses on building the skills and confidence they’ll need for the next stage of their education. This includes early literacy and numeracy, social skills, independence, resilience and a positive attitude towards learning.

By offering care from infancy through to preschool, Keiki Kallaroo provides continuity for families as their children grow and develop.
