Keiki Catalina early learning centre in Clarkson features beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces that have been carefully designed to captivate children aged from 0–5 years. Thoughtful indoor spaces provide a warm and comfortable home away from home for children, with plentiful choices for self-directed learning and play. At Keiki Catalina, children of all ages have access to plentiful resources and purpose-designed environments for each stage of their development. Our separate Nursery and Baby rooms each feature their own indoor and outdoor play spaces tailored to children’s developmental needs. There is a built-in sensory room for babies to learn and explore using touch, sight and sound. When it comes to baby daycare, Keiki is skilled at providing a nurturing and safe space for babies to learn, develop and grow, supported by skilled educators

Toddlers and kindy-aged children enjoy use of their own sensory room, shared meal space, a dedicated art studio, outdoor swing, bike track and playground equipment designed for adventure play. Our curriculum also includes Keiki’s Preschool program. This is designed to build children’s learning skills, independence and social and emotional skills in preparation for their transition to school.

Keiki Catalina provides a nurturing environment for babies aged 4–18 months, with a seperate nursery and baby room to cater for children’s individual developmental needs. We respect each child’s feeding schedules and sleep patterns, and we follow safe sleeping practices. Our dedicated educators build meaningful relationships with families, fostering healthy growth through age-appropriate activities.

We offer specialised care for toddlers aged around 18 months to 3 years. Our educators foster resilience, independence and emotional regulation in a safe, engaging environment. Kindy

Following a proven Preschool program, we offer a three-plus pre-kindy to children aged 3 to 5 years old. Our play-based curriculum covers early literacy and numeracy, with the aim of developing foundational skills for future education. Educators follow a Reggio-Emilia approach to foster enquiry, curiosity and problem-solving. Keiki’s pre-kindy program ensures a smooth transition to school, building your child’s resilience, physical and emotional skills and independence.

Our Team

Keiki Catalina is staffed by experienced and fully qualified Early Childhood Educators, ensuring the highest quality education and childcare available in the Clarkson area. Our Catalina team work together to create a comforting and stimulating environment, filled with opportunities for children to learn and grow at their own pace. The curriculum is developed by an Educational Leader, working closely with our Early Childhood Teacher to incorporate Keiki’s Preschool Program and Eco Learning Program across all rooms.

Judith

Judith joined Keiki Catalina as the Centre Coordinator in 2022 and has more than 16 years’ experience working in the early childhood sector. She holds an Early Years teaching qualification from the UK and a Diploma of Children’s Services (ECEC). Judith loves using her knowledge and experience to help shape the educational program and provide hands-on role modelling for children and educators to learn, develop and grow.

    Yes, the educators at Keiki Early Learning are qualified and committed to providing high-quality care and education. All staff working at Keiki Catalina hold, or are actively working towards, a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, with many having completed a Diploma or higher qualification. Additionally, our Early Childhood Teachers possess degrees from recognised universities or are working towards their Early Childhood Teaching qualification, ensuring a strong foundation in early childhood education.

    All educators at our childcare centres also hold a current Working With Children Check and receive training in child protection, food safety, safe sleep practices and first aid.   • What Are Your Daily Fees At Keiki Catalina?

    At Keiki Catalina, fees are charged per day, with the full day being $165.00.

    This fee is the full rate and does not include any discounts you may be eligible for through the Child Care Subsidy (CCS). To estimate your out-of-pocket costs after CCS is applied, and to learn more about the subsidy, please visit the Child Care Subsidy page on the Services Australia website.

  • What do we provide at our early learning centre in Clarkson?

    Our early learning services provide nutritious food to children throughout the day, including breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea, plus a late snack if needed. We also include sensitive formula sunscreen, nappy cream, wipes, 1x set of cot or bed sheets provided at enrolment, and all incursions and excursions planned as part of the educational program.

  • How does drop-off work at the early childcare centre in Catalina Clarkson?

    At Keiki Catalina, we work to ensure drop-offs are as smooth as possible. When you arrive, you’ll bring your child to their room and speak with their educators, who will support a happy and calm start to the day. Each room will follow a routine at drop off such as placing bags away, putting nappies into baskets or unpacking drink bottles for the trolley; children can actively assist in these routines to help build a sense of autonomy. We encourage parents to take a moment to settle their child and share any important information.

    For added security, all our services use pin code entry systems to maintain a safe and secure environment for every child. You will be provided with your own unique pin code as part of the enrolment process, and you will use this each day to gain access to your service. You will also be required to sign your child in via our secure Xplor app each day upon your arrival at our early learning centre.

  • What should I pack for my child in preparation for attending the Catalina centre?

    To help your child have a smooth and comfortable day at Keiki Catalina, we ask you to pack a few key items in their bag. Bringing the right essentials ensures they’re prepared for play, rest, and everything in between.

    • Spare Clothing: Accidents and messy play are part of the fun. Please pack at least one full change of clothes, including underwear and socks.
    • Sun Protection: A wide-brimmed hat is required daily for outdoor play. We reapply sunscreen throughout the day.
    • Drink Bottle: A refillable water bottle to keep your child hydrated throughout the day.
    • Nappies and Wipes: If your child is still in nappies, please provide enough for the day, along with wipes.
    • Bottles and Formula/Breast Milk: For babies, please bring the required amount of formula or breast milk per day, clearly labelled.
    • Bed sheets: Your child will be gifted their very own set of Keiki bed sheets when they start care with us. We ask that you bring in these sheets each day after washing them at home, so your child has bedding to sleep on that smell familiar and comforting.
    • Wet bag: You will also be supplied with a Keiki wet bag when starting care with us. Please pack this wet bag each day as any dirty or soiled clothing will be placed in here.
  • Can I bring food to the Keiki Catalina Early Learning Centre?

    We provide nutritious, thoughtfully planned meals prepared fresh each day by our in-house chefs. All of our childcare services are allergy-aware, with strict food safety and nutrition policies in place to keep every child safe and well. For this reason, food from home cannot be brought into the centre. If your child has any dietary requirements or allergies that may mean changes are required to their menu, just let your service management team know during orientation so we can ensure the right support is in place for your child.

    At Keiki Catalina, our childcare centre follows a seasonal rotating menu inspired by the six Noongar seasons, using fresh, in-season ingredients to create nutritious and tasty meals. All meals are prepared fresh each day by our in-house chefs and are thoughtfully designed to meet children’s daily nutritional needs while also being absolutely delicious!

    Our menus are shaped by ongoing feedback from children and families, so we can make sure we’re serving meals that children genuinely enjoy, while giving them the energy and nourishment they need to thrive. The current menu is available to view at your Keiki service at any time.
