How To Make Safe Playdough For Your Children At Home

Keiki Early Learning knows that it can be hard keeping your children entertained at home. That’s why we have created this crafty ‘how to’ video on how to make your own playdough out of safe items commonly found within your home.

Not only are these ingredients natural but they’ll provide hours of fun to your little one! Here’s what you’ll need:

Ingredients and Tools

• 2 cups of plain flour
• 4 tablespoons of cream of tartar
• 1 cup of salt
• 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
• A few drops of food colouring
• 1 cup of cold water
• A large bowl for mixing up the ingredients
• Fresh rosemary (optional) Various trinkets and toys to help decorate your playdough and bring it to life

Instructions

Follow these instructions to make your own safe playdough at home!

Begin by adding the dry ingredients and mix it all together.

Add wet ingredients and continue to stir through

Once stirred through, knead it together on a chopping board with your fingers Optional: Add fresh rosemary and continue to knead to add a fresh smell to the playdough.
