Choc Hummus Dip

Shake up your afternoon tea platter with this delectable dip made from chickpeas! When it comes to choosing what to dip in your choc hummus, the choice is yours: fruit, rice crackers or wholegrain crackers, pita bread and toast soldiers are all delicious options. It is also quick to make by placing all the ingredients into a food processor and blitzing. Enjoy!

Choc Hummus Dip

An afternoon tea favourite from Keiki Early Learning:

Ingredients

  • 400g tin of chickpeas, rinsed and drained
  • 1 cup cocao
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 ripe banana or avocado
  • 1tsp baking soda

    Method

    1. Place all ingredients into a food processor.
    2. Blitz until a paste is formed, you may need to scrape the sides of the bowl halfway through
    3. Serve immediately, or place in an airtight container in the fridge.
