Keiki Early Learning Centre Butler
Spacious, natural learning environments in the heart of Butler
Opened in August 2025, Keiki Butler is a brand-new preschool early learning centre designed to support children aged 0 to 5 with thoughtfully planned indoor and outdoor spaces. Every room connects directly to expansive garden areas with mature trees and sensory-rich features, supporting natural play and calm transitions throughout the day. With five purpose-built rooms, children from nursery to kindy have access to high-quality learning environments designed for their developmental stage.
Additional features of our Butler day care centre include a flexible piazza with open-window kitchen, central community library, and built-in sensory nooks. Our Reggio-Emilia inspired spaces filled with comforting, carefully selected furnishings provide a home away from home for the children in our care.
Purpose-Built Spaces for Every Stage
At Keiki Butler, our thoughtful environments support every stage of early learning. From soft, secure baby areas to our adventure-focused kindy spaces, each room is equipped with developmentally appropriate materials and direct access to secure gardens.
Our Nursery and Baby rooms offer a quiet, sensory-rich start for infants with a focus on safe sleep, flexible routines and connection with familiar educators. These spaces include dedicated sensory areas that encourage exploration through sight, sound and touch.
Toddlers and pre-kindy children have access to their own nature play areas, creative materials and age-specific programs. The centre includes shared dining areas, a central piazza, and Keiki’s art, literacy and numeracy resources. Our Preschool Program builds on these foundations further within the Kindy room, preparing children for school with confidence and independence.
Babies
Keiki Butler provides a nurturing environment for babies aged 4–18 months. We respect individual feeding schedules and sleep patterns, and we follow safe sleeping practices. Our dedicated educators build meaningful relationships with families, fostering healthy growth through age-appropriate activities. We offer a dedicated nursery with age-appropriate resources for infants, who then graduate to the baby room when they begin to explore on their feet.
Toddlers
We offer specialised care for toddlers aged around 18 months to 3 years. Our educators at our Butler early learning centre foster resilience, independence and emotional regulation in a safe, engaging environment. Activities are designed to enhance language, cognitive and physical skills. Children experience a varied curriculum including singing, dancing, reading and art.
Kindy
Following a proven three-plus Preschool program, our Butler pre-kindy and kindy rooms will offer a tailored educational program to children aged 3 to 5 years old. Our play-based curriculum covers 7 Essential Skills with the aim of developing foundational skills for future education. Educators follow a Reggio-Emilia approach to foster enquiry, curiosity and problem-solving. Keiki’s pre-kindy program ensures a smooth transition to school, building your child’s resilience, physical and emotional skills and independence.

Meet our Centre Coordinator: Carrie O’Leary
Carrie O’Leary
Centre Coordinator
Hi, my name is Carrie and I am incredibly proud to have been appointed as the Centre Coordinator at Keiki Butler.
Having spent over 12 years in early childhood education and recently becoming a first-time mum myself, I truly appreciate the journey of caring for little ones from both sides. I am particularly passionate about child protection, and this drives me in my practice as an educator and leader. I believe in providing a safe, secure, supportive, and inclusive “home away from home”, where each child is nurtured and supported to reach their full potential. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my beautiful family, getting outdoors for camping adventures, and playing or watching sports.
I’m truly excited to get to know you and welcome you into our wonderful Keiki community!
