In 2003, sisters Sam and Angela opened Mindarie Keys Early Learning Centre. They have taken pride in providing high quality education and care to children and families in the community. Thrilled to be recognised for our commitment to quality education and care and awarded ‘Exceeding National Quality Standards’ during our recent assessment and rating visit, we are now bringing this level of expertise and our high standards to Hamersley. Both Sam and Angela have a genuine love for children and their development. Their vision was to open a centre which focussed on education in a secure, loving home-away-from home environment. Angela’s background qualification is teaching. She has a Master’s Degree in Education, a Degree in Social Science (Children and Family Studies) and was also a State Registered Nurse. She has three grown up children. Sam has a Diploma in Children’s Services (Early Childhood Education and Care), a background in business and is the mother of two children. When looking for care for Sam’s two children the sisters realised that other centres did not meet their expectations. They decid centre that could provide high quality learning in a loving environment. Since then, they have become part of the community, well respected and highly recommended by past and present families.

At Hamersley Early Learning School, we firmly believe that the environment is the ‘third’ teacher (with the family and educators being the first and second). The physical environment should not be a backdrop to the curriculum but rather is part of the program. Outside in the beautiful gardens we have incorporated natural materials amongst our climbing structures that will support our program’s focus on sustainability. Your child will find the environments attractive, engaging and interesting, with many resources to interact with, see and touch. It is designed to provide countless opportunities for open-ended play to suit different abilities and interests.
